OB/breastfeeding

Yesterday got busy so I didn't have time to write after the appointment. We met with Dr. Cousins for an OB check up. He measured my belly and checked on Naysa's heart, which were both nice and normal :) This appointment was basically just an open question day. He is interested in our case and asked a few questions himself then we mostly went over the c-section procedure. He said I won't feel any pain about 12-18 hours the surgery but once that spinal wares off I'm going to feel like I was hit by a truck..yay :p He said to make sure I take my pain meds as needed and wait about 20 minutes before feeding Naysa. No new information just more a meeting. He was very nice and said if for any reason I go into labor before the 22nd and my regular OB, Dr. Schwendemann is not available that he would be taking over. Later in the day I drove to the Naval Hospital to take a breastfeeding class. Who knew there was so much to know about putting a baby on your boob!? I got a lot of good information and handouts so those will be helpful in the next TEN days! They stressed a lot to make sure the staff know you are adamant about breastfeeding otherwise they will try and give her formula because that's the only way they can really tell how much is she eating, so I will doing that when I check in for the c-section. It will be tough the first 2 weeks or so but if you make it past that you are in the clear, good thing I bought nipple cream for the hospital bag!
