hmm

Where to begin when describing and updating on the strongest, most adorable baby to ever live? :D Naysa is doing GREAT tonight! I call the NICU everytime I get up to pump and this first report will definitely have me resting easier, though I'm pretty sure I will just always fall asleep in the middle of prayer lol. Somehow we mangaged to get on the same pumping/feeding schedule which is awesome for when she comes home and gets used to having that schedule cause then I will be ready to go too. She had just eaten 30cc of milk before passing out into her milk drunk coma :) She's doing so well with that. I got to put her to breast for the first time last night and did it again earlier today and tonight! She was a little frustrated and confused at first when the milk didn't come right away like it had been with the bottle but she caught on very quickly and we only had about 5 mins of her crying and not getting it. She latched on perfectly! She must have gotten a good amount since she started falling asleep on the boob but after a little wake up and a good burping from her mimi she was good to go for a little bit more :)This tiny little miracle never ceases to amaze me. At 20 weeks we lead to believe she would never make it and we should just terminate to save ourselves the pain. I encourage all moms and parents whose baby is diagnosed with something, anything...to give that baby a chance! No one knows what will happen but God and something so precious as a life He has given to you to be responsible for deserves every fighting chance. Let's see, what else? Oh, her surgery site is healing nicely and she hasn't had to have any antibiotics or hard pain meds, she's been doing fine with tylenol. She had a nice poopy diaper right before I called down and it's starting to look like normal breastfed poop instead of that tar crap, blah! So far tonight she hasn't had any brady's (drop in heart rate) which is wonderful news but they will continue to watch it. Well I am going back to bed for a few hours before I'm up to pump again. Thank you all for the prayers and thoughts and please keep them coming! They are working wonders! :D
