I know I know, FINALLY right? :p The past month has been ridiculously busy with our road trip to Oklahoma, preparing for Ben's deployment and of course Naysa's endless appointments. I have so much to update on so this will probably be all over the place, bare with me. We packed up our bags, dogs, baby and all her Barbie like accessories to set out half way across the country. It was so nice to see family I hadn't seen in about 8 years, have them meet Ben and of course show off the main attraction ;) Benjamin and I got to go on a few dates and spend some quality time together before coming home to say goodbye. Thanksgiving was a nice big celebration with 5 generations and being so thankful to be where we are now from a year ago. We returned home and prepared to part with Ben. Seabags, uniforms, civis and toiletries were strung around the house, I couldn't look or walk anywhere without being reminded he was leaving. He recorded a book for Naysa to read every night at bedtime then I took him to the boat the night before deployment, as late as I could. I kept my composure and told him not to worry, that I will be strong and that I can do this, then I got back in the car and cried as I watched him board the ship. The beginning of a deployment is always an emotion roller coaster, one hour you're fine, you're proud and the next you're a wreck and want nothing more than to hang out on the couch and pout all day. Naysa had a pediatrician appointment a few days after he left for shots, she did wonderfully! Didn't even cry :) She is 17 lbs and 27 inches long! She goes back tomorrow for one more shot and a check up since she has the sniffles and a little cough. Today she had an eye appointment and I'm pleased to report good news! Her vision has improved since the last time she was seen and he sees great potential for it to keep improving! I'm not really sure of all the medical lingo he was using, cause all I kept hearing was "which is a really good sign" :D He wants to see her back in 3 months to check on her left eye that goes in a lot and talk about some kind of eye muscle surgery, so we'll see about that. Wednesday we have two appointments, first with the neurologist to talk about and check up on her spasms and then with the geneticists. Friday is OT. That's all I can think of right now, I will update regularly again from now on, this is just crazy! Thank you all for the love and support.

Sweetie, I missed that your husband was deployed. Hugs to you and Naysa. She's awesome, but I know she's going to miss her daddy.
