What a year...what a ridiculous, heartbreaking, joyous, stressful year. I am beyond ready to say goodbye to 2011 and finally be able to breathe, to truly have a fresh start.Let's take a look at this year, shall we?
March was crazy with meeting the doctors we would need when Naysa arrived, getting our shipment from Japan and unpacking mere days before we welcomed our little miracle
April my dad fell critically ill due to food poisoning
May Naysa spent my first Mother's day in the hospital, we lost a fellow cele baby (RIP Korbin) and were told our daughter was blind.
June came and she was officially diagnosed with Hydrocephalus
July she underwent shunt surgery
August was extremely difficult as we said an unfair and untimely goodbye to Ben's youngest brother, Holden.
September was rough month of denial, healing and the beginnings of my bipolar depression.
October was back to the ER for a virus the bug picked up, another heartbreak as we lost another cele baby (RIP Samuel) and the seizure curse dared to present itself! November marked one year of remembering to breathe after finding out about the enecephalocele at 20 weeks gestation and my girl and I stood daddy-less on the pier on the first day of a six month deployment.
December..I couldn't be more excited for this month to end. We said goodbye to sweet Kaitlyn just weeks shy of her 2nd birthday, I was told Naysa may not live past 15 because of a rare neuro-degenerative disorder called PEHO, had a disappointing NICU follow up and finally admitted to myself I need a therapist.
Of course there have been a lot of good times and happy news too but that all seems to fall by the wayside when you are bombarded with the bad. I hope everyone has a safe and happy new year, thank you for following our story this past year. See ya 2011, don't let the door hit ya in the ass on the way out! :p
Happy 2012 to you all, its been such a pleasure sharing your page with little you and Naybug, hope to hear loads of positive things with you all over the coming weeks months years xxx much love to you all xx special big kiss to Naysa
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, Babe. This year has been for shite. And yet, at the same time we got Naysa and Liam and Cooper.
ReplyDeleteI'll keep following. You just keep putting one foot in front of the other. It's not an easy road.
