Happy Birthday Naysa!!

What a day! I didn't sleep much last night with all of the anticipation but I was totally expecting that. We arrived at the hospital at 7am and went through admissions then up to the recovery room for a quick fetal monitor and pre-op stuff. From there things went pretty fast. I said goodbye to my parents as they made their way to the waiting room and I was taken back to the operating room. They gave me a spinal which wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. My legs got warm and I was totally numb and paralyzed from the breasts down. Weirdest feeling ever! After I was prepped and laying on the table they brought Benjamin in and so began the process. They tried to do a horizontal bikini cut but it wouldn't give enough room to get her out safely so they went with the original plan of the classic vertical cut. Yes, I have two incinsion sites to heal up and will probably look like a frog that got dissected lol. I honestly don't care though, she got out safe and that's all that matters. After a lot of pressure to my stomach and waiting for the "she's here!" we heard her first little cry :D Words cannot describe the feeling of love, relief and every other emotion that came with that little whine. Naysa Diane arrived at 09:22am at 7lbs, 13oz and 19 inches long. She has ten little fingers and ten little toes, she's perfect! A Doctor in the room said something about there being more brain than they originally thought and my response was something along the lines of "so..you're an mri machine now?" haha. I mean you CANNOT tell that just by looking at it, moron. Turns out she was WRONG of course. As they sewed me up they took Naysa to the NICU and Ben followed. They did an ultrasound of her head and it showed mostly fluid (thank you God!) The doctor was even shining a flashlight through the cele and it illuminated since it was just skin and fluid, so that is very encouraging! Not long after the ultrasound she had an MRI and we will get results tomorrow before her surgery. We aren't sure of the time of surgery yet but will be meeting with the neurosurgeon in the morning so I will of course keep everyone updated. After being in recovery a few hours and was able to stand up to walk to the bathroom Ben was able to wheel me down to see her for the first time since she was born. I have no words. She was still sleepy from her sedative from the MRI but she was breathing great on her own and getting some much deserved rest. She has the silliest hairline right now because of the cele and it looks like a grandpa culdesac cut :) lol. Everything about her is perfect and beautiful. Her little nose and mouth, her faces she makes and the little whines she lets out. I am so in love and she's got all the men wrapped around her little finger already, that's my girl :D Well, I think that about sums up today, I'm going to pump one more time and hopefully pass out for the night. Thank you all for your continued love and support.
