Meetings and NICU visit

Today's appointments we're all meetings. This morning we met with the social worker and neonatologist. Event though we will be transferred they thought it would be good to just let us know how things usually go and to tour the NICU because once/if she is stable enough at Children's they will transfer her back over to the Naval Hospital. No new information was learned so nothing much to report from that meeting. The tour of the NICU brought about a lot of mixed feelings. It was nerve racking to see all of the machines and tubes she would be hooked up to yet exciting to know that in just a few short weeks should would be here and on the road to heal. The babies that were there were so itty bitty and fragile, fighting so hard and seemed to be winning. Today just made the situation all the more real, it's not just the distant future anymore, it's 4 weeks away! We got my medical records and everything to transfer to Sharp but my first appointment won't be until March 1 so until then I'll be at Balboa until then.
