talks and second MRI
We spent the better half of our morning at the hospital today. We got there around 9 and went to the medevac office to talk to the guy in charge there to see if he could call or send an e-mail to Ben's admin department back in Japan to get things going with paying this government card. If I would have known it would be so ridiculous and basically destroy our good credit because they don't make payments on time, we would have never used it. How are we supposed to get a car or place to live with bad credit? We've been forced to leave the lodge and move in with Amber because the card kept getting declined and we had to return the rental card for the same reason. Hopefully this will all be resolved soon, like we need one more thing to stress about! Thank God for amazing friends though! :) After we spoke with med evac we went to our social worker's office to finally meet her in person and get some more information about what to expect after Naysa is born. She said if things with housing aren't set up by the time she gets here that there is a place on base called the Fischer House which is basically free temporary housing to be close to the hospital and we will be able to visit her 24/7. She also said because of the time of year she will be born, only parents and grandparents will be able to visit her in the NICU within the first few weeks until the sick season is over to avoid infections, etc. After our appointment with the neurosurgeon on the 18th, we will be taking a tour of the NICU and meeting all of the staff so that's pretty exciting I guess. After the social worker we went over the MRI. I instantly had anxiety when I walked in and saw the machine. I felt Naysa start to move more too so I tried to calm myself down. This one actually wasn't as bad as the last. I layed on my side this time and they gave me headphones to listen to the radio. I was also exhausted from getting up at 4am to take Amber to the airport so that helped too I think. Hopefully they got some good images for the appointment next week. Not much else to report today, we're pretty tired so nothing exciting for us today. Thank you for all the love and support :) I decided that when I make Naysa's baby book I'm going to include some quotes and statements from everyone whose followed her journey, so if you'd like to write her something you can send it to me privately.
