two days with no appointments

Yesterday was our first day with no appointments since we arrived in Hawaii. It was relieving and frustrating at the same time. On one hand, I wanted to be in that hospital having tests run and talking to doctors, on the other I was glad to have a day to just spend with Naysa and my family doing tourist like things and enjoying Hawaii. We went to the beach in Waikiki where Ben and I rented a little paddle boat and went out as far as we could then just floated and talked which was really nice. Then we all went for lunch at little diner not too far from the beach which turned out to have some really good food which we topped off with some Coldstone (and guess what Nicole, they had cake batter!) We came back to the hotel to shower off and change before heading to Paradise Cove for our Thanksgiving Luau. It was actually really fun and not what I expected. I thought it was going to be some hula dancers and some dinner. Walking in everyone got a Mai Tai (virgin for me, obviously :p) and we finally got lei'd! I was expecting it when we got off the plane like you always see but that is definitely a false excitement about landing here. There was games and activities, drinks and music..Ben even got me to take a picture with some parrots on us. Which if you know me, you know I HATE birds. One of them was actually kinda cute though, he kept flirting with me lol. We walked around for a while then watched a little ceremony as they pulled the pig from the ground where it was cooking then got ready for dinner. The food was great and the hula dancers and guys with the fire was amazing. I wish I brought my USB cord to upload pictures while we're here but it'll have to wait til we go back to Japan. Speaking of, they are thinking of sending us to San Diego for the remainder of the pregnancy. We're not really sure what's going on as of now but should know more Monday. Right now I'm just trying to enjoy the weekend and keep the girl happy and healthy while we await the MRI Tuesday. Just trying to fill the days with as much as we can to keep busy until then.
