shots
Naysa had a big day today. We got to the doctor and did all of the initial check ups, weight, height, head circumference, etc. She is 9lbs 8oz and 22 1/2 inches long :) Her head measured the same as her last appointment with the neuro which is good. The doctor tested her eyes with light and they weren't as reactive as they should be. She asked if she had been to the ophthalmologist yet and I told her I couldn't get her in until July 18th. She called the office and got the appointment moved up to May 26th! She should have had her eyes tested in the NICU and they never came. Then we moved on to the shots... :( I only had her get 3 of them today, DTap, Hib & PCV. Getting 6 shots at once just seemed like a lot & I don't want to worry about her having a seizure or any other crazy reaction. She will go back in a week for the other three. Ben held her as the nurse put two shots in one leg and one in the other. The first one scared her and the last one stung pretty bad, her cries were terrible :( I felt so helpless but I know she needs them for protection. She didn't cry long after the shots at all though, her daddy held her and soothed her pretty quickly with his deep voice :) We got home and gave her some tylenol, fed her and she's been sleeping ever since.
