31 week check up
Today's appointment didn't bring anything new, they checked her heartbeat (still strong in the 140s) and measured my belly which was fine for my size. There was no ultrasound since we just had an MRI but have one the 14th as well as a 20-30 min monitoring which will soon be a once a week thing. February is already overwhelming booked with appointments and check ups and March I'm sure will be even more so. Dr.Chan (our primary care doctor) went over the MRI pictures with us again and said the encephalocele wasn't nearly as bad as she had thought from the ultrasound so that was good news. The C-section has been moved up a day to March 21 at 8am so we will be getting to meet Naysa a day earlier! :) Dr.Chan said to lower the chance of the cele rupturing they will do a vertical incision, the size and depth of the cut will depend on the size of the cele at birth, so it's good-bye bikini's for me! :-/ For every birth after this I will have to have a c-section as well because of the vertical cut and chances of uterus rupture with labor and contractions. That was all for this appointment but we have many more starting the 14th so look for lots of updates! Thank you for all the support :)
